For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him. The one who believes in Him is not judged; the one who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

John 3:16-18 (NASB)

God is love, and He shows His love by sending His Son into the world to save rather than to condemn humanity. The gospel writer John tells us Jesus came to a world that did not know Him or recognise their need for Him. Love came down for us in human form to save us from ourselves. So, while we were sinners due to our ignorance and rebellion, Christ died for us and the entire world. This is indeed good news.

Jesus makes it clear that it is not God who condemns lost sinners for their sins. They are already condemned by their own sins and refusal to believe in Jesus, who came to redeem them from their guilt and their captivity to their sin. They would rather walk in darkness than in the light of the truth that sets them free.

We may be inclined to sin, but God is inclined to save us.

God's grace was working in the background before the coming of Jesus because He has decided and planned for our salvation before the creation of the world. God loves us like a father loves his child, and He took the initiative to seek us and provide everything for our returning back to Him.

Only God satisfies God.

God made it possible for everyone to be saved through His Son because He desires the salvation of all (1 Timothy 2:4). He did it by placing the entire weight of the world's sin, along with its guilt and shame, on the cross of Jesus so that everyone could be made right with Him.

Nobody should remain lost in their sin and unbelief. God has chosen to forgive everyone who has sinned and continues to sin against Him. They need us to tell them the truth about His grace, love and forgiveness which leads to salvation.

You may meet resistance and rejection, but please remember that it is not them who are resisting you, but the strongholds of unbelief and opposition to Christ that have placed themselves against the knowledge of God’s grace. Whatever happens, the right thing to do is to remain loving, humble, and sincere.
