SEEK Children's Ministry
Infants to Year 6

Our SEEK ministry focuses on ensuring that our children grow up knowing their identity in Christ as well as nurturing their relationship with God. We do this through engaging the kids in fun and creative teachings and activities in a safe and loving environment.

TBC Youth Ministry
High School Students (Year 7 to Year 12)

TBC (Torchbearers for Christ) youth ministry strives to teach and mentor the youth at Firstlight Church in order to grow their relationship with Jesus and prepare them to serve Him in all they do. Youth need support and guidance as they navigate through the most formative periods of their lives and seek to grow in their walk with Christ. TBC sees this happening by leading the youth to engage in worship, study God’s Word through relevant teaching, and process their faith with each other and the leaders. TBC also focuses on inviting those who are not already part of the church to experience and encounter God's love for them and become part of God’s broader salvation plan.

Youth visiting and joining TBC will be welcomed into a loving and accepting fellowship with other youth. TBC meets most weeks on Sundays during Firstlight Church service, regularly on Friday nights and also in a variety of events throughout the year.

HELPS Ministry

The HELPS ministry is a combination of various role sand consists of the following teams: welcome hosts, worship hosts, ushers, refreshment and holy communion preparers, logistics team members and lock up members.

The HELPS ministry not only supports the weekly Sunday worship service but also aims to foster an atmosphere of hospitality and welcoming to our new visitors and amongst our church community.

Worship Team

Through worship, we endeavour to turn our affection to our saviour Jesus, reminding ourselves of God's rightful place in our lives and community. As we behold His person, we are strengthened in joy, transformed by His power and equipped to love radically. We worship as a community on Sundays and encourage our congregation to worship our Lord in their own time as well.

Young Adults
Tertiary students and young working adults

YA is a place where our young adults and university students can grow in a Christ centred community. We welcome young people from all walks of life to come as they are, regardless of their beliefs, race or background to call this community their home. We believe that every young person is made in the image and likeness of Jesus Christ, and possess the unlimited potential to impact their unique spheres of influence.

Line Dancing
Fridays 10-11:30am @ Lake Gwelup Christian Church (Youth Hall)

The Line Dancing Ministry (LDM) was birthed as a possible outreach and support to the community through healthy exercise, fun, friendship building, and befriending pre-believers. It is a ministry that encourages and speaks life into each other and directs our hope on Jesus Christ.
