Every day is God’s gift to you to make a difference for someone that no one else can. You’ve got something precious to offer. Be open to God and allow His Spirit to move in and through you. Learn to recognise His voice and listen to His word and act on His prompting. When this happens, you will find yourself impacting and influencing others for the better.

Even though you may feel awkward and uncomfortable at first, don’t let a passing moment of fear hold you back from a lifetime of transforming lives in Jesus’ name. Imagine what would have happened to the Christian faith if the early disciples refused to preach the gospel? Thank God, they didn’t. They not only preach the gospel, but also, they raise other disciples to do the same.

But some of them were men from Cyprus and Cyrene, who, when they had come to Antioch, spoke to the Hellenists, preaching the Lord Jesus. And the hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number believed and turned to the Lord.

Acts 11:20-21

In contrast to the Jerusalem believers who had a mental block of crossing culture to reach Gentiles for Christ, these unknown Jewish believers from Cyprus and Cyrene were the first to preach Jesus to the Gentiles in the cosmopolitan city of Antioch.

Their initiative brought a great number of believers to the Lord and the church grew so much and so fast within a short time. They were later called Christians which means “anointed or messianic believers”. It was certainly an appropriate term that clearly identified both Jewish and Gentile believers as followers of Jesus the Messiah or Anointed One.

You are an anointed one in Christ as well. This means you have nothing less than Christ's fullness in you. As such, it is not whether you should or shouldn’t proclaim the gospel but rather pray and ask God who He wants you to share the gospel with and do it with joyful expectation.
