For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Ephesians 2:8-10 (NIV)

Grace is the one word that reveals all of God to us.

We have a powerful Saviour in Christ who is full of grace and the truth, and through whom we are set right with our Father God and given new life in the Spirit. It is a privilege and blessing we have been given such grace that we can extend that grace to others.

We have a unique call to be grace givers in a grace-starved world. There are countless opportunities if we are willing to be imaginative and prayerful in looking for ways to proclaim and demonstrate God's grace.

The Apostle Paul describes us as God's handiwork, perfectly created in Christ for every good work. In other words, you cannot fail if Christ is working in and through you. In our journey of faith, there are many lessons to learn, but the most crucial one is God gives grace to the humble so that they can follow and obey Him. Don't let your past mistakes or fear of failure keep you back from moving forward with God. If you let God's grace work perfectly within you, your desire for obedience to Him will outweigh your fear and pain.

If you obey God perfectly, He will use your obedience to accomplish something. Even if you may not immediately see the desired result or fruit of your obedience to God, you are already making great progress. Keep showing grace and love to people even when they don't thank you or even try to take advantage of you. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain if God is involved in what you are doing.

Jesus tells us a seed cannot produce fruit unless it dies. You can let go of the strain to earn God's approval and enjoy the incredible and liberating lightness of His grace in your life as you learn to fully submit to His will. As we live in the truth of who we are in Christ, others are drawn to experience God's grace for themselves.
