Jesus said, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent and believe in the gospel."

Mark 1:15 (NKJV)

The gospel can be summarised in seven words: "The kingdom of God is at hand!"

When Jesus began His ministry, He proclaimed the reality of His kingdom would triumph over kingdom of Satan and the kingdoms of this world. As a result, His teachings, miracles, signs and wonders demonstrated the spiritual and physical dimensions of His Kingdom, which we are invited to join and partake in.

You may think there are two gospels in the New Testament: the gospel of the Kingdom of God (preached by Jesus) and the gospel of salvation (preached by Paul). But there is only one gospel and this difference in description reveals an important truth.

Consider the gospel of salvation to be "a door" that allows you to enter "the building," which is the gospel of the kingdom. The door is a part of the building, but not the entire structure. Yet the door serves an essential function for a person to enter the place.

You have been saved by Christ so that you can experience the reality of being saved in Christ. Your salvation is a new beginning that leads you to what Christ has purposed for you in His Kingdom.

The gospel of Christ gives all believers the authority and power to show and share the culture and the values of His Kingdom in the world around us. Yet many people choose to live a watered-down version of Christianity instead of embarking on a bold and revolutionary journey with the Lord.

Go and fulfill your mission as a change agent of the gospel. As a follower of Christ, your obedience can often lead to changes in lives that you never thought possible.
