Do not linger thinking about events of the past; consider not the things of old. I am about to do something new. Now it comes to fruition; can you not perceive it? I will make a path through the wilderness and rivers in the desert.

Isaiah 43:18-19 (NCB)

Our God is a God of new beginnings.

While God's righteous character remains unchanged, He will change direction and usher in new seasons of growth, renewal, and transformation. The more we allow God to bring about change in us, the more fruitful our faith journey will be. We will discover that the continuous process of growth along the way is more important than the destination itself.

Be open and willing to follow where God leads you.

We must learn not to dwell on the past as we journey into the future with God (see Philippians 3:13-14). This involves actively listening to God and aligning to the guidance of His Spirit. We will go through profound changes and grow as we mature, with a renewed mind and a new understanding of God.

A new season is often God's way of freeing us from attachments and addictions that keep us from pursuing our identity in Christ. Without a renewing of the mind, old sinful habits and strongholds will continue to plague us. A fresh start with God, on the other hand, allows us to experience greater freedom and depth in our faith.

We all need to grow beyond our current experiences with God.

God will amaze you with new insights and revelations about His person and power as you respond to Him and follow Him. With God, what appears to be impossible becomes very possible. You will feel joy, peace, and satisfaction as you witness and experience His wondrous working in and through you.
