Our deepest ignorance is not being aware that we have everything we need in Christ to live a life of wholeness and purpose—both now and forevermore. When we don't appreciate what is already ours in the Lord, our prayers take the form of pleas instead of praise. This desperation can drive us to do futile things and make efforts to get something from God—when in reality He has already freely given us all things in Christ.

Instead of praying for more faith or more power or more anointing, pray that you can comprehend the power that is available to you. This was how the Apostle Paul worded his prayer when praying for the Ephesians:

I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance. I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honour at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms.

Ephesians 1:18-20 New Living Translation

We don't have to rethink the truth of the gospel; we just need to rediscover it.

Paul specifically asked God to help us understand that we have access to the same power God used when He raised Jesus from the dead and gave Him His seat of honour in heaven. This means our Father has made available to us unlimited heavenly resources that far exceed what we will ever need to live a life pleasing to Him (2 Peter 1:3, 4).

Don't use your feelings to determine where you are spiritually or how God sees you. Pray and live according to the revelation you have received through the gospel of Jesus Christ. In other words, we don't need a revival for God to move in our midst. Rather we need a renewal of the mind so to throw off faulty thinking and have a truthful perspective about our life in Christ.
