Are you doing exactly what you want to be doing?

Most believers have a sense of purpose, but they often suffer from inertia and lack the motivation to pursue their God-given dream. They choose a very different path, not daring to take risks in order to stay in their comfort zone. They settle for a tame faith that has no impact or influence on the world around them. As a result, their faith becomes anaemic, and they lose their spiritual edge.

God desires to transform you into the person He desires you to be in Christ. He, on the other hand, cannot change you unless you want him to! This is because God has bestowed the gift of free will upon you, allowing you to choose how you will spend the rest of your life.

What is your attitude towards God’s purpose for you?

Despite the children of Israel's disobedience, Caleb was not deterred from claiming the land that God had promised them. Caleb remained faithful to what God had placed in his heart after 40 years. There was no regret or remorse in his tone as he told Joshua about the events of the past, only a desire to take hold of the land again.

Look at what Caleb said to Joshua,

As yet I am as strong this day as on the day that Moses sent me; just as my strength was then, so now is my strength for war, both for going out and for coming in. Now therefore, give me this mountain of which the Lord spoke in that day; for you heard in that day how the Anakim were there, and that the cities were great and fortified. It may be that the Lord will be with me, and I shall be able to drive them out as the Lord said.”

Joshua 14:11-13 (NKJV)

What an incredible attitude! Caleb saw success before stepping out. This is because he places his trust in God. Likewise, when you are connected to your purpose in Christ, you can rely on God to provide you with a continuous supply of grace and abilities to carry it out.

Choose to live radically as Christ did and be unafraid of failures and remain confident in tough times. Stepping in faith does not imply acting recklessly or failing to take precautions against potential danger or risk. Rather, it is daring to do what God has asked you to do while remaining completely reliant on Him in all things and in all ways.
