Now you must go into all the nations and preach repentance and forgiveness of sins so that they will turn to me. Start right here in Jerusalem.

Luke 24:27 (TPT)

Many Christians want to make excuses and justify why they are unable to obey Christ to fulfil their role in the Great Commission. As a result, they think and act like orphans, not living according to the spirit of sonship and identity that Jesus has given them. This hinders God's grace and stops the gospel from reaching every corner of our city and the world.

A disciple of Jesus is one who submits to His Great Commission.

Without this submission, the Great Commission becomes the Great Omission. When this happens, we become more interested in ourselves and less interested in others. Our prayers, then, revolve around God blessing us—rather than extending His blessing to others, particularly the blessing of God's salvation and His wonderful grace. Our ministry becomes a show of our gifts, talents, and abilities rather than a means of reaching those who have yet to hear for the first time who Jesus is and what He has done for them.

Being loved by Christ enables us to sincerely love others as He desires.

Our message is to share our stories of transformational growth and change in Christ with our friends and family. We are made whole, complete, and faultless in His sight because we know God loves us without merit and has forgiven us without measure. This is indeed good news!

So, if the gospel is good news, why are we so afraid to share it? Most of the time, we are worried because people may ask us questions or make objections that we cannot respond to. Just know that God is with you and that He wants you to rely on Him alone, not on your intelligence or skills.

Pray persistently, asking God to guide you in building loving and caring relationships. Don't regard your friends like a project to be completed in a particular period of time. Instead, show them practical love and hospitality. Open your heart and home and use your creativity and spiritual gifts to demonstrate the power of the gospel. Be patient and be ready—God will not let His word go unfulfilled but will confirm it with inward conviction and outward signs.
