Just as the Father has sent me, I am also sending you…Receive the Holy Spirt.

John 20:21 (EHV)

We are all sent to announce and advance the kingdom of God.

Whatever our gifts and vocations, we share the same prophetic call to make disciples of all nations and to share the gospel with those who have not heard. As His followers, we have been given a commission by Christ to carry out His work until He comes again.

Following Jesus means embracing His ministry of reconciliation.

Knowing that we are unable to carry out His will on our own, He empowers us through His Spirit to serve as His ambassadors as we share the good news of the Kingdom with a broken and lost world.

Unfortunately, many of us often choose to live a passive and underwhelming version of the Christian life. So much still has to happen within us so that we may reflect a much greater obedience to follow Jesus in His work. The challenge is not simply to believe the gospel, but to be bold in living it out.

What is holding you back from fully following Jesus?

After all, He has already provided you with everything you need to carry His work to the world. We don’t have a resource problem or even a product problem. The gospel is still as good and as life-transforming today as it ever was. Rather, we have a hearing problem. But it is something God can heal and set us free.

A true missional life involves the Trinity working together to bring us into the place of obedience and right living. The move from selfishness to God-centeredness will provide us opportunities to look beyond ourselves and to serve others.
