You crown the year with Your goodness.

Psalm 65:11, New King James Version

What was your highlight for 2021? What have been some of your favourite moments and memories? Whatever they may be, learn to be thankful and rejoice for everything that happened.

Even if you feel there was nothing worth giving thanks for— still give thanks anyway. In giving thanks you are recognising God is still good, even though you may not understand what is happening in your life right now. Bear in mind, gratitude is not an emotional response to something good that happens. Rather, it is choosing to trust God and thank Him for all He has done and all He will be doing.

You may lose sight of God in your troubles, but God never loses sight of you. Be thankful that He promised to be with you always. And when you discover more and more of what it means to live in the grace of God, you will truly live the life of thankfulness and gratitude.

Learn to rest in the truth that the past, present and future cannot separate you from God's perfect love. If you have been feeling distant or disconnected from God, the good news is God do not feel the same way as you. No matter how far you feel from God, it won't matter and it won't affect how God sees you and feels about you. God is always faithful and God is always on your side and God is always with you all the way.

God will be in your tomorrow just as much as God is in your today.

As you step into a new year of your life, keep believing each day is filled with God's grace to fulfil your daily needs. Wherever you go God will be there ahead of you, waiting to help you face the difficult times and comfort you when the pain seems unbearable. Bear in mind God's mercies are brand new every morning and God will make sure you receive a fresh supply each and every day!

On behalf of everyone in our Firstlight church family and my family, I wish you and your loved ones a very blessed 2022 crowned with God's goodness and abundance in Jesus' name.
