But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Ephesians 2:4-10 (NIV)

It is a privilege and a joy that God has chosen to show us his undeserved mercy and kindness by making us holy and blameless in His sight. He placed us in Christ and His finished work so that none of us can boast about how great we are or how well we measure up to our notion of spiritual perfection.

We cannot improve our righteous position because we have already been made complete in Christ. We cannot lose this position because the Holy Spirit has already placed His seal on us, dwelt in us, and will always be with us. Allow the good news of Jesus Christ to encourage and empower you and continue to seek insight from the Holy Spirit. He takes pleasure in glorifying Jesus and His perfect work on the Cross.

God's grace does considerably more than simply save us from sin. His grace enables us to accomplish whatever pleases God. Many Christians see grace as a safety net that will catch them if they stumble and fall into sin. This non-consequential attitude towards grace blinds individuals to God's love and makes their hearts cold towards God. This is why many people use grace as an excuse to sin and do bad things. Grace not only makes obedience possible, but it also equips and prepares us for God's service.

God does not treat you any differently than He does Jesus. Keep in mind who you are and what you have in Christ. As a result, we must learn not to treat God any differently than Jesus would. When our condition corresponds to our position, we manifest Christ's likeness and kindness to others. This is what it means to be our true selves in Christ. Ephesians 2:10 says every one of us is God's masterpiece, uniquely crafted by His hand and destined to grow into the perfect image of His Son. That is why God calls us to be peacemakers wherever He places us.

You are not a mistake or an accident. God's love and purpose for you are revealed and reflected in your being and existence. So, continue to grow wisely, beautifully and rightly.
