God is good.

It is out of the goodness of His love that we receive the ability to face life with hope, and not fear. Do not see problems as acts of hostility, but rather as opportunities for God’s love to shine through. In our eyes, problems are impediments to our happiness, but in God's eyes, problems never obstruct His plan for our happiness.

Love hopes all things.

1 Corinthians 13:7 (ESV)

The Greek word for “hope” is elpizō which means “having joy and full confidence.” Far from being wishful thinking, hope is the full assurance of salvation won for us through Christ's finished work. When we put our faith in God's love, there is no room for disappointment. His unfailing love provides us with joyful hope in the face of trying circumstances.

Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

Romans 5:5 (ESV)

What a revelation!

Paul did not say, “We hope for God to love us more.” What he is saying is this: “The love of God is already in us, and the role of the Holy Spirit is to keep revealing this truth to us.” Consider the Holy Spirit as a "pump" that draws God's love from within us like an artesian well.

This realisation of God's love will transform your outlook on life. He who is in you is greater than He who is in the world (1 John 4:4). You can never make yourself more worthy of God's love because He already loves you, even before the foundation of the world.

God's love is greater than any circumstance because He has conquered the world! What a blessing that He keeps us safe amid life's agony, conflict, and struggle. Who else but our loving and righteous Father can bring you such joy and assurance?
