A crooked judge was paid a large sum of money to execute an innocent man. He agreed to do so with little regard for justice. The judge later discovered that the innocent man who died was his son, much to his chagrin.

Love does not rejoice in iniquity.

1 Corinthians 13:6 (NKJV)

The Greek word for “iniquity” is adikia which means “injustice or unrighteousness”. There is no evil thought in love, and there is no room for evil to exist in it. It does not rejoice or take delight when wrong is done.

God's love is on the side of justice and righteousness.

Ascribe greatness to our God! The Rock! His work is perfect, for all His ways are just; A God of faithfulness and without injustice, Righteous and upright is He.

Deuteronomy 32:3-4 (NKJV)

Even when they were unfaithful, Moses taught the children of Israel to sing this song of God's faithfulness. God did not say, "It serves them right." They deserve what's coming to them!" When things don't go our way, we often imagine God causing havoc in our lives to punish us. God does not have divine tantrums. You can have evil thoughts about God, but God cannot.

God is far gentler and more loving and generous than we believe. In fact, He often shows up when things don’t go right. He isn't there to gloat but to guide. While you may not be able to comprehend or reconcile every chapter of your life, God can.

Bear in mind, God is our righteous Father, and because of His perfect love for us, we can be assured that He will never rejoice over wrong, or injustice done to you, but will return all things to your favour.
