Have you ever met someone who is constantly suspicious of others and finds it difficult to trust them? They have a "siege" mentality and see the world as an unjust place where they would rather doubt and reject the potential goodness of people than believe the best in everyone.

Love believes all things.

1 Corinthians 13:7 (ESV)

The Greek word for “believe” is pisteuĊ which means “to think to be true, place confidence in, to trust.”

What God believes about you is determined not by what you have done or have not done, but by what He has done in and for you. You are a "finished work" in His eyes, a divine masterpiece of His hands. In this sense, God does not test us to make us better people. He knows you will be tested by the trials and tribulations of life, as well as by Satan. That is why He has filled you with all His fullness. It is for this reason that when the test comes, everything of Him in you will be revealed. It is not to show how weak you are, but how incredibly strong He is!

Satan put Job to the test, but God blessed him with twice as much as he had lost (cf. Job 42:10). Of course, Job is a type of Jesus from the Old Testament whose suffering was redemptive. However, James instructs us to look to Job as an example of how to continue believing in God despite all evidence to the contrary.

My brethren, take the prophets, who spoke in the name of the Lord, as an example of suffering and patience. Indeed, we count them blessed who endure. You have heard of the perseverance of Job and seen the end intended by the Lord— that the Lord is very compassionate and merciful.

James 5:10-11 (NKJV)

Job the prophet had “seen the end intended by the Lord. Go beyond seeing problems in your life. Learn to see your life prophetically in God's purpose, as Job did. Even if life does not make sense, live for the end goal that the Lord has in mind, not for how you feel today. Continue to believe that God made (rather than trying to make) everything beautiful in His time (Ecclesiastes 3:11). It has already been accomplished in Christ.
