Life may contain sorrow and sadness, trials, and troubles, but life cannot overcome God’s love for us. Nothing in all creation, neither death nor life can ever separate His love from us.

Love bears all things.

1 Corinthians 13:7(NKJV)

The Greek word for “bear” is stegō, which means "to protect or keep by covering, to preserve". It encapsulates the enduring nature of God's love. God does not abandon us or give up on us, even when we sin and disobey Him. Rather, God in Christ came to give us life, and life more abundantly. So, do not think for a second that God loves you less because you are going through a difficult time.

Some are taught to fence themselves in and live a neat and tidy life, to take care of their own needs and owe no one anything. Life, unfortunately, is disruptive. When these people ask questions about life's imponderables and do not get the answers they want, they raise their fists to heaven for their predicament. The man who tries to save his life will lose it.

When Jesus first appeared, He never said, “I have come to explain the world.” Instead, He declared, “I have overcome the world.” This means that Jesus triumphed over everything that stood in the way of God's love for us. We are free to have joy over sorrow, gladness over sadness and victory over troubles because our life is hidden in Christ.
