I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Galatians 2:20

The loving union we have in Christ gives us a sure standing before God, both now and forever. Like the Apostle Paul, we must learn to live in our new-found reality in Christ. It is to take steps to grow in the truth of our identity and life in Christ so that we reflect Him in everything we say and do.

Being crucified in Christ means we no longer live for ourselves—but for Him.

We cannot follow Jesus without changing our way of life and priorities. Nothing should remain the same once Jesus is our Sovereign Lord and Saviour.

Often because of misplaced priorities, we lose sight of who we are and what we have in Christ. This makes it difficult for us to walk in the fullness of our righteousness in Him. It will stunt our spiritual growth and stifle our intimacy with Christ.

It is necessary for some of us to learn Christ again and experience the glory of His presence. The very reason His Spirit dwells within us is because He longs for us to be intimate with Him. In this sense, it is not difficult for us to get close to God and enjoy a healthy relationship with Him. If it is a struggle for us, it is not a faith problem, but a love problem.

The distance we feel between God and ourselves is a misguided perception of our feelings. If left unchecked, it will breed doubts and unbelief. He who is in us will never forsake or forget us. We can draw close to God who has already drawn close to us in Christ. It takes no effort from our side. It is to simply believe and have confidence in what Christ has done for us.

Keep being amazed about your crucified life in Christ.
