Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to his disciples to distribute to the people. He also divided the two fish among them all. They all ate and were satisfied.

Mark 6:42-43 (NIV)

Our calling is to grow deeper into the heart of God. It is from the overflow of love and intimacy with the Father that affects the way we work and serve Him. Ministry is never about doing more for God, but doing more of what matters to God. If God is in it, you can rest on His grace and strength to do it.

Unlike His disciples, Jesus never saw feeding the five thousand as a burden but as a blessing. His openness to God gave Him courage and confidence to minister to the needs of the people. Jesus knew the Father will come for true for Him because He was always connected to His will.

Once you are in Christ, you are already in the Father's will for your life. If you pursue and keep on pursuing His Kingdom, you won't have to worry about missing out on what God has in store for you. You would dare to ask from God because He puts the desire in your heart to approach Him (cf. John 15:7). Then prayer is no longer about getting God to do something. Rather prayer is dreaming with God and getting to do everything that brings Him glory.

The beauty of a life with God sets us free from a life of competing and conflicting priorities. When we made knowing God and being with God our only pursuit, every aspect of life becomes practical and purposeful. Work, worship and service are not separating things we do and dividing our time to do them. Rather, they are all connected to one another because God is always present and active, making all things work out according to His plan. So, learn to live a daily life of thanksgiving for everything because His faithfulness empowers your fruitfulness.
