This is indeed the will of my Father, that all who see the Son and believe in him may have eternal life.

John 6:40 (NRSV)

The heart of our Father is revealed to us through the Son. We can be sure of how God looks at us because Jesus is the "perfect representation" of His Father's character and the "visible image" of the unseen God. (Colossians 1:15)

God has always been a God of grace.

There is no desire in Him to condemn us or to punish us, but to redeem every one of us in Jesus. For God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself. (2 Corinthians 5:19) We are eternally secured and united in Him through His finished work of the Cross. Now, this free gift of salvation is of faith—and through faith. There is no effort or work involved for us to be who we are and what we have in Christ.

It is from this vantage point of being “in Christ” that we live the Christian life. Our old sinful nature is dead and crucified with Christ. We are made alive to live in Christ! We will grow and flourish because of our union and identification with Christ.

Sin has no place in the life of a believer.

When we struggle or succumb to temptation, it's because we have an identity problem. We forget, or have yet to learn, that we are free in Christ. Spiritual amnesia prevents you from living authentically and joyfully as God has created you to be.

Our one purpose is to relentlessly pursue Christ and to be conformed to Him in all holiness, goodness, and righteousness. Your life in Christ will become clear as your heart is transformed by His life working within you. Only when you are fully convinced of God’s love can you truly rest in His grace to live right and fulfil the will of the Father.
