Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later. God did not keep His own Son for Himself but gave Him for us all. Then with His Son, will He not give us all things?

Romans 8:18, 32 New Living Translation

If you are going through a bad moment in your life right now, remind yourself of Christ's finished work on the Cross and learn to rest and receive all that He has done for you. Then everything will radically change for your good and for His glory.

When Jesus said, "It is finished!" that Good Friday, He secured God's victory over every evil that afflicts us. The suffering of Jesus bought such eternal good and glory that nothing in this life can ever diminish what God has destined for us. This is why the Apostle Paul could say in Romans 8 that the glory awaiting all of us is incomparable to the present sufferings we experience.

Whatever you are going through at this time, God’s intention is to make you more and more like His Son. As He has begun this good work in you, so He is going to complete and perfect you in Christ. Nothing that has happened or can happen to you can take away God’s perfect purpose for you. If you are facing life’s problems or coping with inner struggles, it is good to hear the gospel again and again until the truth of who you are and what you have in Christ becomes personal to you.

Though Jesus has freed us from everything that hinders us from enjoying the abundant life in Him, the amount of freedom we can experience is directly proportional to the amount of truth we know.

It is through learning sonship that we have the confidence to live out who we already are in Christ rather than trying to please God through our own means and effort. This is because everything that we do and everything that we are flows from the freedom and strength of our identity in Him.

God freely gives us all things in Christ so that we are strengthened and sustained by the power of His risen life to live continually in righteousness in spite of the circumstances.
