Some Christians have a spiritual blind spot in their knowledge of the Christian life. Despite being saved, they struggle to believe God and His Word. They have yet to comprehend what Christ has done for them and what they now have because of Him. This lack of revelation causes them unnecessary pains and hardships.

The phrase "in Christ" is the key to understanding the Christian life.

It is impossible to live the Christian life apart from Christ. God inexorably joins you to Christ because He does not view you apart from what Christ has done for you through His finished work on the cross. This is why Paul emphasises it as a vital aspect of exposing Christ throughout his epistles.

But you have not so learned Christ, if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus.

Ephesians 4:20-21 (NKJV)

The Ephesians were already in Christ, but they needed to continue growing in their knowledge to receive all the good things He has for them (Ephesians 1:18). Every revelation of Christ is a promise of His provision, and we will benefit greatly by walking in the light of His glory and grace.

Allow Jesus to take His due and rightful place in your life. Shape your thoughts in the truth of His Person all the time, and the truth of who you are and what you have in Him will manifest in your everyday life.
