Now to [God] who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.

God is the God of all possibilities in the midst of impossibilities.

The Apostle Paul says God is capable of far more than your greatest dreams or expectations. Everything God can accomplish through you is already within you. This is because Christ is living in you through the Holy Spirit. You don’t need to wait for an outward supernatural power to come on you when God in Christ is working in and through you to carry out the works of Christ, and even greater works (John 14:12).

You can learn from Paul by praying to receive the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of God (Ephesians 1:17). The good thing is that God is eager to give wisdom to those who ask. Once you know the Father and His unfailing love towards you, it does not take great faith to do great things in His name.

God does not require you to be someone extraordinary in order for Him to use you in special ways. If you trust in His power and provision, God can accomplish so much through His Spirit's power working in you, rather than your human effort or strength. Because they obeyed and trusted Jesus for everything, the early church was able to display the same power as Jesus. Likewise, you are constantly in step with what the Lord is doing when you learn to follow His Spirit.

Rather than asking for more anointing or more power, pray that you can fully appreciate what God has already given you in Christ. Now, this isn’t to say you shouldn’t ask God for what you need, but if receiving things from God is more important to you than God Himself, your relationship with God is a transaction rather than a relationship where deep speaks to deep.

If you simply focus on God and give Him first place in everything, you will never cease to be amazed at how He works things out for our good and His glory.
