God’s law was given so that all people could see how sinful they were. But as people sinned more and more, God’s wonderful grace became more abundant.
Romans 5:20 (NLT)
To preach Christ is to proclaim the profound truth of His person and His perfect redemptive work of reconciling us with the Father.
The gospel is not just good news. It is a truly radical message about God's rich and abundant grace, which is poured out to cleanse us of all our sins, guilt, and shame. Regardless of how much or how badly we have sinned, God's grace is far greater than our sins and resistance.
Walking in faith leads to restful contentment and joy. There is no need to try or earn your way into a relationship with God because salvation comes by grace through faith. Christ's finished work provides us with complete forgiveness. God has already given and provided for you in Christ, everything He intended or expects of you.
There are no high ideals to achieve in the Christian life.
Remember that grace is not opposed to striving for excellence or becoming the best you can be as a child of God. It is simply against doing it without God's help and guidance. Abiding in Christ provides us with life and power to bear fruit for God's glory. He not only gives us the desire and grace to live fruitful lives, but He also equips us with the abilities and means to do so.
When we grasp this truth, we are free from the guilt of not measuring up or not being good enough. Then we are no longer tempted to compare ourselves to others, or to compete with them. Instead, when we see others in Christ doing such wonderful things, we should rejoice and praise God.
