Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7 (NLT)
No matter what happens to you, you do not have to be bitter or live in anger. While those dark moments are never pleasant, be still and let God embrace you and guide you through them. If you learn to trust Him, every pain or adversity brings new experiences of God’s grace and love.
What happen to you is not as important as what happen inside you.
There is no genuine peace apart from God. The Apostle Paul commands us not to be anxious about anything, but rather we are to pray and tell God about everything. He says when we do this, God will give us peace to guard and protect our heart and mind when we confide in Him our worries.
Peace is more than just having a placid feeling.
God’s peace acts as a shield to protect us from negative thoughts and feelings, even when we are going through the worst day or season of life. We will experience a peace that surpasses our understanding, and that peace leads us into a deep and profound rest.
It is clear in 2 Peter 1:2-4 that grace and peace multiplies and grows through the knowledge of God and Jesus Christ our Lord. In other words, peace comes from knowing who you are to God and who God is to you. The more we find our peace in the Lord, the better our defence against Satan.
If peace seems distant and fleeting at this moment, don’t fret or worry. Just keep praying and learn to rest in God’s perfect love that takes away all fears. Never worry alone. Hide yourself in God and let His embrace heal your heart.
