The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry." The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. "

Psalm 34:15, 17 New King James Version

A common mistake amongst many believers is that they hold on to an unhelpful image of God, especially when they are facing pain and sorrow. To them, God is not good, all-powerful, or loving. This makes it difficult for them to have faith in him and fully trust in his purpose for their lives.

Don’t let circumstances define your view of God, but let the truth of His Word determine what you should believe about Him. The Psalmist tells us that God is a God for us, a God who hears our every cry and wipes our every tear. Later in the gospels, Jesus shows us that God is both our loving and compassionate Father.

Instead of being distanced from us, God is always there and always available. It is important that we do not let troubled days or hard times decide God’s season in our lives. Jesus makes it clear in John 15 that our Father wants us to bear fruit, more fruit, and much fruit. This means God will not let anything interfere with what He wants to accomplish in and through you.

Don’t suffer in silence. Cry out to God and believe that help is on the way.

No matter what your situation may be and how life is turning out lately, one thing is for sure: God is keeping his eyes on you. In that case, God will show Himself strong on your behalf, and instead of being overcome by difficulties, you will be overwhelmed by the abundance of His love and favour from heaven.
