The Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will.

Romans 8:26-27 (NLT)

Praying is both the easiest and hardest thing to do. It is easy because God invites us to pray. It is hard because we don't know what we should be praying for.

The Apostle Paul tells us the Holy Spirit helps us to pray and even pray with us and for us. The Holy Spirit has the perfect wisdom and supernatural working power to transform our feeble prayers into prayers that God hears and answers. Thus, no prayer can be considered weak when we truly believe that God intercedes for us every time we pray.

The one who prays and continue praying never feel lonely, forgotten, or forsaken. As we speak to God and God speak to us, we will experience an intimacy that satisfies our deepest longings. The abiding presence of the Spirit fills the gaps of our hearts with faith, mystery and awe. He waits with us as we wait for God to unfold His purpose.

Too often we neglect prayer because of busyness or idleness.

Praying is fruitful because it builds up our faith and trust in God. It is through our prayers that we are brought to a whole new understanding, and a whole new perspective of God. It will not only invigorate our worship but also strengthen our spiritual health and well-being.

Depend fully on the help of the Holy Spirit in our prayer life.

When we learn how to pray Holy-Spirit empowered prayers, we will not lose faith or give up hope, but we will gain the endurance to keep praying for everything to work together for our good and God’s glory.
