We must not let our work cause us to lose sight of God. We need to constantly remind ourselves that we belong to God and not to ourselves. And if we are truly His, then our desire in all that we say, think, and do is to reflect His glory.

Consider these words of the Apostle Paul:

Have you forgotten that your body is now the sacred temple of the Spirit of Holiness, who lives in you? You don’t belong to yourself any longer, for the gift of God, the Holy Spirit, lives inside your sanctuary. You were God’s expensive purchase, paid for with tears of blood, so by all means, then, use your body to bring glory to God!

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (TPT)

The Corinthian Christians were a bunch of incorrigible believers who misused grace in the name of grace. In his letter, Paul urged them not to forget their identity and security in Christ, of their true worth and value in the eyes of God and of their brand-new and supernatural life in the Spirit. We are made to worship, to "use our bodies" to exalt God. And if we lose sight of who God created us to be in Christ, we will lose our perspective and direction to what we are to do.

Too often we make a separation between what we believe and the way we live our lives.

Worship is the very reason we exist; it is not a habit or a pastime. If worship is not the focal point of your life, then something else is. A life that is centred on anything other than God cannot be a good life. Such a way of living causes you to feel distant from God and can plague you with guilt and condemnation. Some of us find it challenging to live wholly because we demarcate between what God can have and what He cannot. Instead of putting God first and keeping Him first, we try to fit Him into our packed schedules.

Centre your life on worship. Give yourself fully to God because true transformation and a strong sense of belonging flow from our fellowship and communion with Him. Worshipping God will reveal to you that you live in an other-worldly reality that rises above your daily routines and takes you into the realm of the supernatural.

Let God shine through you, in your worship, work and service—for He deserves the glory, honour and highest praise. Hallelujah!
