Christ’s resurrection is your resurrection too. This is why we are to yearn for all that is above, for that’s where Christ sits enthroned at the place of all power, honour, and authority. Yes, feast on all the treasures of the heavenly realm and fill your thoughts with heavenly realities, and not with the distractions of the natural realm.

Colossians 3:1-2, The Passion Translation

The Apostle Paul tells us to identify with Christ so that everything He obtained for us through His finished work becomes ours by faith. This is the essence of living a Christ-centred life, where we no longer live for ourselves, but for the one who died for us and is now living in and through us.

You cannot be Christ-centred if you are self-focused.

When believers are self-focused, they cannot go beyond their personal interest to consider the greater significance of their life. Their faith revolves around being happy and feeling good, and not about enjoying a personal relationship with Christ through all of life's tumbles and turns. This is why when something bad happens—they are easily shaken because they lack the knowledge of their identity and security in Christ.

If you want to stay strong, steer away from distractions.

Distractions are things that draw you away from drawing closer to God. Instead, start to feast on "heavenly things" that will continually grow and build your faith. See yourself as to how God sees you and walk as His child. The more you can identify and understand how loved and valued you are by God, the more you are able to receive and rest in Christ for whatever you need.

Because you are in Christ and seated with Christ, all of God's promises are already yours. Such a revelation will revolutionise your prayer life and reignite your passion for God and your relationship with God. When you build your whole life on the truth of whose you are and what you have in Christ, you will never utter another vain prayer or entertain a false belief about yourself. This opens the way for true freedom and authentic living, where you become so heavenly minded to be full of earthly good.
