Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.

Jeremiah 1:5 (ESV)

Learn from the Prophet Jeremiah about the significance of your life and discover your purpose in Christ. When God called Jerusalem to be His prophet to the nations, God made it clear, right from the start, that He had forged Jeremiah’s purpose long before he was formed in his mother’s womb.

Even though Jeremiah felt that he was unqualified for the role as he was too young and too inexperienced to speak for God, it didn’t deter God from making him one of the greatest prophets of the Old Testament times.

God has chosen you to live and proclaim the gospel to everyone, just as He purposed Jeremiah to be His mouthpiece to the nations.

Even if you believe you have a valid reason why God cannot use you, the truth is that you do not fully comprehend God's grace. You are still relying on yourself rather than fully trusting in God's power to carry out God’s purpose for your life. It is not humility when you feel you are not good enough to serve God. It is your pride that keeps you from fulfilling anything worth doing in God's name. This is because you are too focused on yourself, on what you can and cannot achieve, rather than on what God can do in and through you.

Jeremiah learned the value of trusting God completely and believing in Him, especially when faced with hardships and trials. Similarly, no one said it was easy to respond to God's call, but when you allow God to guide you, everything gets a lot easier. When you choose to fulfill God's purpose for your life, you will never be a victim of circumstances, but a winner over them.

Remind yourself that you have a greater privilege than Jeremiah and all the Old Testament prophets combined. You have the Holy Spirit dwelling within you. Build a strong fellowship with the Holy Spirit and you will receive an ever-increasing ability to do the work God has assigned you.
