To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Colossians 1:27 (NKJV)

No matter how bad your day has been, it is important to remember that God is on your side. Hold on to God's goodness even when you are afraid, since no amount of darkness thrown by the Enemy can ever extinguish the wonderful light of God (who is Christ) in you.

Many Christians believe that the goal of a Christian is to become more LIKE Christ. They often put themselves through an endless cycle of self-checking as to whether they are right with God. This results in guilt, shame, and self-condemnation. The truth is that we are right with God because of Christ, not because of ourselves.

Our old sinful self is crucified with Christ on the Cross. Out of His gracious love, God freed us from the slavery of sin and given us grace to conform into the image and likeness of His Son. Consider these words of the Apostle Paul:

I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.

Galatians 2:20 (NKJV)

"Christ living in me" is the basis of the Christian life.

It is no longer about becoming more "LIKE" Christ but "LEARNING" Christ (cf. Ephesians 4:20) in relation to His life in us. You could be wondering, “What is there to learn from Christ's life in me?" It is to discover how complete you are in Him and how you have all things in Him and how you have been blessed with every blessing in Him.

The Christian life is about BEING who you are in Christ rather than BECOMING less of yourself and more of Jesus. This is because you were crucified with Christ and that your life is now hidden in Christ. By crucifying you with Him, Christ can manifest His glory in and through you.
