Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity."

1 Timothy 4:12

Your faithfulness to God must never be determined by how you were received or rejected by people. Even if you face hindrances or difficulties, don't give up but stay focused on God's call and purpose in your life. People can write you off but God's hands over you will always surpass the limit placed on you.

Often many pastors, missionaries and church leaders quit from their ministry, perhaps they did not get the support they needed, or they were dismissed unfairly from their jobs. The truth is, people can take away your “business card” but they cannot never take away your “calling card”.

Consider Gladys Aylward.

She was deemed unfit for missionary service in China during the early part of the twentieth century because of her low social status and poor education. But her so-called lack of abilities didn't stop God from using Gladys in a profound way. The Chinese people initially were suspicious of her intent, however, when they witnessed her godly love and devotion for them, they grew to respect and trust her. Eventually, one by one became faithful followers of Jesus Christ.

The Apostle Paul exhorted his spiritual son, Timothy to keep growing spiritually no matter how others view him. And instead of giving in to those opposing voices, Timothy was to set himself as a perfect example of one who exhibits the character of Christ in every way.

Here we see Paul's wisdom, that is, we become what we feed on.

When we feed on Christ, our spiritual growth contributes to our spiritual maturity. Spiritual maturity leads to spiritual authority, and spiritual authority creates a platform for greater influence on the relationships around us.

God will reward you for your faith and faithfulness.

Keep walking in the reality of your identity in Christ and God will fulfill His plan for your lives. If you genuinely stay on your God-directed path, there will be more of those who appreciate the positive difference in their lives.
