May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

2 Corinthians 3:14 (NIV)

A Trinitarian faith has a direct bearing on our Christian life.

We often focus on only one Person of the Godhead and lack a comprehensive knowledge of how the Three Persons work together in our salvation and spiritual growth. This not only results in an imbalanced view of God t that severely limits our understanding and experience of God, but it also makes it more difficult to detect deception and battle false teachings.

All false teachings target one of the Trinity, if not all three.

A false doctrine may appear spiritual and full of knowledge, but it does not draw us to God or reveal God's true character. It often leads in a less-than-healthy image of God and how He sees us. Whether it is legalism or licentiousness, our minds and hearts are distracted from being captivated by the majesty, beauty and grandeur of God, thus reducing our relationship with Him to manageable terms. Legalism teaches us that we must approach God through our works to get His blessings. Licentiousness tells us God doesn't care how we conduct our life if we claim to believe in Him.

A Trinitarian understanding of God is essential for faith and the Christian life.

God invites us to encounter and participate in this triune life of eternal love and intimacy through the gracious work of redemption. The Holy Spirit dwelling within us empowers us to immerse ourselves more fully in this love that is already ours in Christ.

We can rest and absorb God's gracious power and love to alter and mature us from glory to glory when we witness the dynamic interplay of the three persons in our justification, sanctification, and glorification. When we can see the active interplay of the Three Persons in our justification, sanctification and glorification, we can rest and receive God’s gracious power and love to transform and mature us from glory to glory.
