As you go, proclaim this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.

Matthew 10:7-8 New International Version

Do you know what our city is going through? Do you know the pain that people endure and live with every day? Do you care enough to act? We can get so caught up in our own lives that we hat we overlook the needs and struggles of others in our community and beyond.

When Jesus sent His disciples out to spread the good news of His kingdom, He expected them to show compassion for those who were broken, sick and hurting. As we live in a world that is becoming more and more divided, lonely and isolated, we can serve Jesus by serving others through authentic relationships and showing them genuine acts of love.

Most of the time, it doesn't take much to reach out to someone in need, whether it's a friend, a neighbour, a family member, or a colleague. We do this not because we have to, but because we desire to partner with Christ in fulfilling God's Kingdom purpose on earth.

We can work together to make a difference in people's lives and communities.

Jesus didn't tell us to stay away from what's going on in our city and around the world. He calls us to go out and make disciples of all kinds of people. There are lots of people out there who are looking for answers to their tough questions, so let's pray for an opportunity to reach them and share Jesus with them in a way that won't be hurtful or intimidating.

The transformative power of the gospel is more than just a one-time event. It is both a journey and an ongoing process that brings people from disbelief to faith, from uncertainty to certainty, and from darkness to light.
