That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life—1

John 1:1 (NKJV)

The Apostle John was both Jesus's youngest and longest-living disciple.

His name means “grace”.

As Jesus' beloved disciple (John 20:2), John had a profound and close relationship with His Lord, experiencing Him both in the flesh and in the spirit. John wrote five New Testament books (which is the number of grace) based on his firsthand experience of Christ: one gospel, three letters, and the book of Revelation (which he concluded with the words, "The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you all" (Revelation 22:21).

With John, his relationship with Jesus was never stagnant but always growing, and his understanding and perspective of Jesus grew with time. This was why John admitted that if he wrote everything Jesus did, “even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written” (John 21:25). Be astounded at the breadth of his knowledge and the depths of his understanding of Jesus. In his gospel, Jesus is the Eternal Word manifested in human form who came to rescue us. In his letters, Jesus is the true God and true Man who lives among us. In his book of Revelation, Jesus is the returning King who is coming for us.

Learn from John and become a lifelong follower and friend of Jesus.

The more you focus on Jesus, the more you will be able to "hear, see, and touch" Him. Programs never make disciples. Only a personal relationship with Jesus will produce the desired fruits and effects of someone who is truly loved and in love with Him.
