25 Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery kept secret since the world began 26 but now made manifest, and by the prophetic Scriptures made known to all nations, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, for obedience to the faith— 27 to God, alone wise, be glory through Jesus Christ forever. Amen. Romans 16:25-27, New International Version
The Apostle Paul tells us that God is the one who establishes you through the gospel of His Son. The Greek word for “establish” is stērizō which means “to make firm, set fast, fix” (Strong’s G4741). In other words, the gospel gives you the power and ability to stand strong and live righteously.
Our Father’s desire is to make you strong and walk in the power of His love. He does this by giving you the spirit of wisdom and revelation to understand the mysteries and purposes of the Kingdom.
The more you discover the gospel truth of your identity and inheritance in Christ, the more you discover Christ’s purpose and passion for you. By walking continuously in the truth of the gospel, you become less disappointed with yourself and in turn, with others. You realise God in Christ who begins His good work in you will also complete it to bring freedom and produce godliness.
If you are discouraged with your spiritual life, you are not the answer. Jesus is!
Do not try to become perfect by your own effort because you cannot. If you want to grow and increase your faith, keep hearing the gospel of Jesus Christ over and over. When you know how much God loves you in Christ, it will rekindle your faith and restore your confidence in Jesus.
The gospel not only has the power to save you but it also has the power to sustain you throughout your journey of faith and ultimately present you faultless before God in glory.
