2 He died in our place to take away our sins, and not only our sins but the sins of all people.
1 John 2:2
There is no limit to what Christ has accomplished for us at the Cross.
It was not only your sins that were forgiven, but also the sins of the whole world. Salvation is now possible for everyone because God freely offers to all the wonderful gifts of forgiveness and reconciliation through Christ. It is only by receiving these gifts of salvation by faith that we stand to enjoy all the amazing benefits and blessings of salvation that Christ has obtained for us.
What God has done for us is such a glorious message that we cannot afford not to share. We want to see as many as possible impacted by the gospel and to enjoy the riches of God’s grace! After all, they have already been forgiven by God and reconciled to Him, so how can we justify our unwillingness to boldly declare the good news to them?
We share because we love them deeply, and that they might know the truth and walk in truth. The Scripture says that people without God are people without hope. God has not forsaken them but they don’t know that. How will they know Him if we do not reveal Jesus in all His beauty and glory? How will they know what to do if we do not show them the way to the Father?
As Romans 10:14 reminds us, “How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?”
Don’t be ashamed of the gospel, for it is God’s power for salvation to everyone who believes. When you are sharing the gospel, don’t be preachy or pushy. Give reasons for your faith and trust the Holy Spirit to do His part in revealing the truth of Jesus.
