10 So the Lord has fulfilled His word which He spoke.
2 Chronicles 6:10
A prophetic word is God’s dream for His children and also an invitation to partner with Him to see that dream become a reality. God’s Word to you is not just for yourself but for others as well. When you seek to fulfil His plan for your life, many will become blessed because of your obedience.
Waiting is the hardest part of seeing God’s Word coming to pass.
Often there is an appearance of apparent delays between the time you received a word and the time for the word to be fulfilled. This is why intimacy with God is the key to protect your heart from becoming hardened or frustrated as you wait for God to carry out what He has promised you.
When King Saul couldn’t wait according to the timing of Samuel in sacrificing the burnt offering, he forfeited his throne and possible future because he thought he knew better than God (1 Samuel 13:9-14). In this sense, waiting involves a process, during which time God wants to grace you with a new way of thinking and a new way of doing as you come into alignment with His purpose.
Intimacy with God builds trust and is an important part of growing your character.
Character determines your success or failure. This can be seen in how Jesus patiently shaped and moulded the character of His disciples until they were perfectly ready to run with the call of God. If Jesus could turn a bunch of misfits and never-do-wells into a winning team with a global vision for the lost and broken, imagine what He can do in and through you.
Character completes God’s call for your life. As such, just be willing to fully trust the Lord and prayerfully ask Him to mature you so that you are not lacking or deficient in any way for what lies in your next season.
Can I identify an area of my character that needs more growing?
