I’m absolutely convinced that nothing—nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable—absolutely nothing can get between us and God’s love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us.
Romans 8:38-39 The Message
There is nothing incomplete in our relationship and friendship with God.
Once we are in Christ, we get to inherit and enjoy the same relationship Jesus had with His Father. There is nothing on our part to fix or get right with God. There is nothing on our part to add or do to insure the efficacy of Christ’s perfect and finished work.
Yet, often than not, many believers are told to get right with God by their efforts rather than to believe Jesus has already made us acceptable, justified and righteous to God. This makes God more distant and less approachable. Somehow, there is always a feeling of uneasiness and self-condemnation because they are not receiving the grace God continually offers them.
Why would such believers act or feel this way?
It is because they were raised by a religious spirit which masquerades the gospel. They are led to believe that they are orphans standing outside the gates, and not sons and daughters sitting in the banqueting table of the King.
You have the fullness of the Godhead in you through Christ. This means you have access to God all the time. What a blessing! There is no need for you to try hard to get to God because both you and God are inseparable. Even if your prayers are not answered, you can believe God will not disappoint you because God is love and God loves you.
Walking in the revelation of God’s perfect love frees you to live fearlessly and faithfully regardless of the circumstances. The Apostle Paul assures us, “If you know God is for you, nothing can come against you”. Whatever the Enemy may throw your way, God holds all the power to turn everything for your good.
Be fully persuaded of Christ’s power to save you and keep your relationship with God strong and vibrant. You will grow in your love for God by growing in your knowledge of God’s love for you.
