About Us

What is Firstlight about? You’ll get to meet some of the most loving and generous people around, because we have experienced the perfect love of God in Jesus. Thanks to caring leaders who show us what life with Jesus is all about, we know why we exist and where we’re heading.

If this sounds good so far, we invite you to take the next step – come and visit, connect or partner with us. Thanks for checking us out!

Jesus Christ

When Jesus died on the cross He said, “It is finished!” He had done what we could never do. In one act, He changed our standing with God – forever. From now on, God pours His love upon us without ever holding back! This is grace and this is what matters to us most.

Our identity as sons and daughters of God

Jesus welcomes us into God’s family. As sons and daughters, God empowers us to do good works for His purpose. We don’t do good works because we have to, but because we get to!

Community

We see our church as a family, not just a Sunday event. Here we grow together and love seeing the best in each other, as God does, which helps us put aside our differences and build each other up.

Sharing the good news

We’ve experienced something that is too good not to share – real love, hope and peace in Jesus. Our heart is to share this message all over the world with words supported by actions and actions supported by the Word of God.

Firstlight originally began as the English-speaking congregation of Perth Chinese Christian Church (PCCC) in Doubleview, Western Australia. However, on 6 July 2008 we mark our new beginning as a church with a fresh vision for our city and beyond.
As a people of God, we have had many reasons to celebrate God’s goodness. His faithfulness and provision enable us to be difference makers for Jesus Christ in communities all over the world!
